Up to how many grams of cannabis do patients receive from the pharmacy?
As a rule, up to 100 grams a month per patient. As this primarily involves people who have not had any success with conventional medicine – palliative patients for whom cannabis is used as an extreme painkiller – the dose can be significantly higher. Patients with other chronic illnesses, such as those suffering from migraine and rheumatism, people with multiple sclerosis, polyarthritis, epilepsy, fibromyalgia or depression – to name but a few potential indications for the use of cannabis – usually begin with 0.5 to 1 gram of cannabis a day.
